Act 1 is CALUM BUSBY and JUDITH SELENA
Our "normal" format is ONE singer-songwriter as Act 1, but not this time. Calum was Act 3 in out last Spring Edition, Judith was Act 1 in our our last Winter Edition. Maybe covid and restrictions have messed with OUR version of the new normal, but we'd like to think we just like breaking the rules every now and then.
Judith Selena has been one of our favourite singer-songwriters since we started Front Page News Barcelona years ago, Calum has been one of our most EPIC surprises in our last Spring full concert.
On 26th of June, as restrictions become a little less Draconian, why NOT have two artists we love play as Act 1.
Have a look at the recent past:
WINTER EDITION with Judith Selena
SPRING EDITION with Calum Busby
Act 2 is BARKO NES
Barko was raised in Detroit, Michigan, obsessed with Rock n Roll, Hip Hop, and films. Having taught himself to sing, play drums and guitar, his melodies are stories that carry you away to distant lands. His influences include but are not limited to: Randy Newman, Prince Paul, Tom Waits, Johnny guitar Watson, and The Band, and Aretha Franklin. Barko makes Rock n Roll designed to satisfy his (and others) primal need to dance.
Act 3 is LIAM CLOUD
On Vocals and Guitar is Liam Cloud, co-founder of Front Page News, and a singer-songwriter who plays all over Barcelona, was in The Voice of Spain (La Voz, Equipo de Pablo Lopez) and hosted weekly events in Craft about a million years or so. He is a generous artist and graciously shares the spotlight whenever onstage or in the studio co-creating and collaborating with other musicians almost every day. Liam is on the verge of several release later on this year. He has this fantasy of inserting guitar solos into everything, which he did for Ruth Lorenzo's Miedo. He has some beautiful new originals never heard before. Don't miss it, come early.

He is amazing. Kaku plays bass for Titan James Music and will wield the keyboard for Act 3 this evening with Liam Cloud. He is a multi-instrumentalist session musician who possesses a higher than usual degree of professional experience. While in Argentina, Kaku won a contest for a pop song he wrote and performed with his musical partner. Their song became a hit all at once, and it got a lot of play on the radio in Argentina. It threw them into the Scene, and they were hobnobbing with the social elite at big parties in Buenos Aires. Kaku had a big hit and a career as a pop star in Argentina. But here he is tonight, don't miss his earlier set with Titan.

Bryan Curtis on drums is hardly an unfamiliar character in the local scene. It is always fun to watch Bryan having fun...Perpetually ticks all the boxes on what a good drummer is: He plays with his whole body, plays a perfectly distinct yet subtle game of tag with Joseph on Bass; really listens, picks out complex rhythms and drives the heartbeat. ¨...A guy who knows when to leave space so you hold in your breath for that one second before he gives you the downbeat to exhale.¨ More about him in this piece by the lovely Vanessa Hodgkinson: Interview: Why Resident Drummer Bryan Curtis is a Barcelona Favorite You Can’t Miss!
